Five plastering disciplines
done one way — properly.

Whether you need a dead-flat skim, a weather-tight render or a dry-lined stud wall, every job we take on follows the same rule: prepared correctly, materials mixed correctly, finished correctly. Below is exactly what we offer and what you can expect from us.

01

Skimming

Mirror-flat top coats over plasterboard or existing plaster.

Skimming is a fine 2–3 mm finishing layer of multi-finish plaster that we trowel until it goes glass-smooth. It's what gives a wall that paint-ready, tap-free surface — the difference between a job that looks fresh and one that still looks tired.

Best for

  • Refreshing tired walls and ceilings before redecoration
  • Skimming over artex (where suitable) instead of ripping it out
  • Top-coating new plasterboard in stud walls and conversions

What's included

  • PVA bonding coat where required
  • Two coats of multi-finish, polished to a mirror finish
  • Edges, beads and reveals straight and crisp
  • Site swept and dust-sheeted before we leave
02

Dry Lining

Plasterboard fixed level, ready for taping or skim.

Dry lining is how we fix plasterboard direct to studs, battens or masonry — either with mechanical fixings or dot-and-dab adhesive. It's the fastest way to get a flat, paint-ready wall in a new build, extension or loft conversion.

Best for

  • New stud walls and partitions
  • Loft and garage conversions
  • Lining uneven masonry without re-rendering
  • Insulated plasterboards for thermal/acoustic upgrades

Two finish options

  • Tape & jointed: Ready for paint, fastest turnaround.
  • Skim finished: Glass-smooth top coat over the boards (see service 01).
03

Sand & Cement Render

Traditional external render — strong, breathable, weather-tight.

We use a classic three-part mix of sharp sand, cement and lime, applied to external walls in two scratch coats. It's the workhorse render — proven over decades to hold up to British weather and ready to take paint, pebble-dash or a top coat.

Best for

  • External walls on extensions and new builds
  • Re-rendering tired or cracked existing render
  • Garden walls, garages and outbuildings

Built to last

  • Bell-cast and stop beads to shed water cleanly
  • Mesh reinforcement at junctions to resist movement cracks
  • Cured properly — we never rush a render in the wrong weather
04

Float & Set

A two-coat traditional system over brick or block.

Float-and-set is the proper way to plaster bare masonry internally. The "float" is a sand-and-cement (or browning) backing coat that levels and strengthens the wall; the "set" is a smooth finish coat skimmed on top. The result is solid, flat and as good as new — and it's our go-to for older properties.

Best for

  • Bare brick walls in renovations and extensions
  • Repaired patches that need full build-up rather than a quick skim
  • Older properties where dry lining isn't suitable

Our process

  1. We prep the background — dampened and bonded as required.
  2. Backing coat ruled flat, scratched and left to firm.
  3. Finish coat skimmed and polished to a paint-ready surface.
05

K Render

Through-coloured silicone render. Modern, clean, paint-free.

K Render is a thin-coat silicone-based render that comes pre-coloured all the way through. Once we've applied it, that's the colour — no painting now or in five years. It's flexible, hydrophobic and self-cleaning, which means rain runs straight off and dirt doesn't sit on it.

Why our customers choose it

  • Sharp, modern finish in a wide range of colours
  • Resists hairline cracking thanks to flexibility
  • Self-cleaning — looks new for far longer than painted render
  • Pairs perfectly with EWI (external wall insulation) systems

How we apply it

  • Base coat with embedded fibreglass mesh for crack resistance
  • Primer to suit the chosen top-coat colour
  • Silicone top coat applied and rubbed up to a uniform texture
