Skimming
Mirror-flat top coats over plasterboard or existing plaster.
Skimming is a fine 2–3 mm finishing layer of multi-finish plaster that we trowel until it goes glass-smooth. It's what gives a wall that paint-ready, tap-free surface — the difference between a job that looks fresh and one that still looks tired.
Best for
- Refreshing tired walls and ceilings before redecoration
- Skimming over artex (where suitable) instead of ripping it out
- Top-coating new plasterboard in stud walls and conversions
What's included
- PVA bonding coat where required
- Two coats of multi-finish, polished to a mirror finish
- Edges, beads and reveals straight and crisp
- Site swept and dust-sheeted before we leave
